For many, a wedding is a beautiful event. But for those of us in the Neocatechumenal Way, a wedding is a victory. As a fellow catechumen in The Way, I understand that these celebrations are not just a party—they are an announcement of the Gospel, a manifestation of the Domestic Church, and a communal celebration of the Sacrament.

A Specialized Approach to the Neocatechumenal Liturgy
Photographing a “Neocat” wedding requires an understanding of the “invisible connections” within the community. It’s knowing the precise moment to be ready for the Shema, when the parents hold the Shekhinah (the canopy) over the couple, symbolizing the cloud of glory that guided the Israelites. It’s capturing the weight of the unleavened bread and the specific joy of the Cantors as they lead the assembly in the songs of the Neocatecumenal Way.
Because I know the flow of the ceremony so intimately—from the intricate readings chosen by the couple to the singing of the Ave Maria (usually by a brother or sister in the community) — I am never “guessing” where to be. I am anticipating the grace of the moment.

Serving Southern California and Beyond
Based in Southern California, I regularly document weddings across:
- Orange County
- Los Angeles County
- Riverside County
- San Diego County
However, the “Way” is a global family. We can see this during World Youth Day. My passion for capturing these sacred moments has taken me across the United States. I have traveled to document the community weddings in New Jersey, San Francisco, and near the magic of Orlando, Florida.
My goal is to provide unconstrained coverage as a standard. I don’t believe in “counting hours” when a community is celebrating a victory. Whether your wedding takes place in a local parish in Riverside or a historic church in Spain, Italy, or Rome, I am there from the early morning prayer with family and community, through the sacrament and the danza outside the parish, up through the grand entrance and until the final grand exit is finished.

From the Sanctuary to the Danza
One of the most iconic moments of our weddings is the celebration outside the parish doors. When the guitars, drums, and voices of the community erupt into the circular dance, it is a sight to behold. It is the joy of the Resurrection visible in the faces of the brothers, the catechists, and the family.
Whether you are planning a local celebration in SoCal or a destination wedding in Jerusalem, I would be honored to walk with you and your community to preserve these eternal memories.
